Habilitation (post-doctoral lecture qualification)
Habilitation determines your suitability for conducting research and independent teaching in a particular subject or field. Your authorisation to teach is issued along with the habilitation.
Upon successful completion of the habilitation, the applicant is conferred the academic degree of habilitated doctor at the Faculty of Mechanical Science and Engineering, indicated by “habil.” before their degree.
Application for designation as “private lecturer” requires a successfully completed habilitation procedure.
