Before departure
The general procedure of the double programme
The integrated German-French course of chemistry study is subdivided into two phases: the homeland phase, the time at the TU Dresden and the abroad phase, the time in France.
The homeland phase comprises the first two study yeras (Bachelor)and the fifth study year (Master). The third and the fourth study years must be accomplished at the partner university abroad.
The application
The participation at the German-French study course in chemistry requires the enrollment in BSc study course in chemistry of TU Dresden. The modules of the first study section must be passed. The information events on the integrated study programme take place in March/April of each year. The responsible persons of the French partner universities are also present at the events. The application documents must be available until the end of May at the programme coordinator at TU Dresden, Professor Doert. It is recommended to establish contact with the programme coordinator well before the application in order to discuss the details in person.
The application documents are:
- A complete Curriculum Vitae in German,
- A motivation letter in German,
- The current overview of the grades,
- The filled application form (depending on the chosen university) with the further documents requested (among others medical certificate).
The application documents will be sent to the chosen French partner university. The admissions committee decides upon the admission to the integrated study programme (until the end of June). The enrollment at the German-French University (DFH) must proceed online after the admission, and it is absolutely necessary for each study section (abroad phase and homeland phase). Information on the enrollment period (usually until 30.09.) can be found on the web page of DFH . The online form must be filled out for this purpose. The DHF accords the mobility allowance for the month of stay at the host institution (abroad phase). The mobility allowance will be paid out via TU Dresden. Therefore the declaration to the adoption of the mobility allowance must be filled out and delivered to the programme officer.
Accommodation in France
Both ENSCR and ECPM organize room-places in the dormitories for the new students. The organization of the accommodation will be done by the institution and should be discussed at the earliest possible stage with the responsible persons in Rennes or Strasbourg.
