IT Services
The IT Competence and Service Center of the school of sciences was founded in June 2012. The central objectives and key tasks are a direct result of the term itself:
Competence:
Existing IT knowledge is continuously improved through targeted cooperation between the faculties, other departments, the Center for Interdiciplinary Digital Science (CIDS) and the Support Centre Digitalization (SCD). This ensures that the further development of the IT structure in the field of mathematics and natural sciences is guaranteed.
Service:
The team strives to achieve a uniform service level for employees and students throughout the department. This is coordinated with the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) of the SupportCenter Digitalization (SCD) to ensure an efficient and high-quality service.
Team:
The IT competence and service team brings together all the people who deal with IT issues in the division. The formation of this team aims to develop a joint work, information and communication strategy that is valued by the structural units.

Origin
The Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences contributes to the financing of the campus license Origin and thus enables the unlimited use of the software on official computers in the department. In addition, students are given the opportunity to use the latest version of the software on private computers free of charge for one year.
ChemOffice
The Faculty of Chemistry and Food Chemistry has concluded a rental and maintenance contract for the use of the latest ChemOffice package. The professorships involved in the financing as well as students of the faculty are entitled to use the software.
All faculties operate PC pools for teaching, which are equipped and configured to meet specific requirements. Further information can be found here:
