Available Exchange Placements Mobility Online
Please check the website of the host university regarding courses, offers and advice for foreign students. Sometimes the term times vary.
Application Requirements
- good academic achievements
- clear idea of your studies abroad
- sufficient language knowledge of the host language
- sucessfully completion of at least the first year (does not apply to master students)
- applicants need to be students of the TU Dresden. If applicants have finished their bachelor degree at the time of their year abroad, they have to enrol for the master degree at the TU Dresden after their foreign year
Application and Documents
Please apply for a position abroad for the following winter and summer term until 15. March of the relevant year here Mobility Online. Later applications for left-over placements are possible after this date.

- Language certificate if available - otherwise upload a short explanation
- Finland and Norway: Language: English - Abitur certificate is sufficient (if you need a more current certificate, contact Prof. Strunz for a confirmation)

After the nomination
Successful applicants enrole online at the guest university and fill in the Learning Agreement and get it signed.
Learning Agreement
- approx. 30 ECTS points per term
- If you fill in table B -- signature of Learning Agreement by Chair of the Examination Office (guest university course description needs to be provided).
- Courses can also be accredited after the mobility -- signature of Learning Agreement by Prof. Strunz
The examination office can supply students with an English Transcript of Records if necessary.
Awarding Criteria
The ERASMUS placement will be awarded to the student with the highest academic results if there is more than one applicant. Furthermore, the duration of the stay might also be a criteria. However, we will try and find an alternativ placement if your first option is refused. Therefore, please state in your application which alternative place you would be interested in taking.
Recognition of ECTS points
You can apply for the recognition of modules before or after your stay if the content and grading system is comparable to the grading system of the TU (otherwise recognition without a grade). For this, request a conversion table or an ECTS Grade in the Transcript of Records. Please apply to the examinations board.
