The Dhaka Innovation Study (DIS) is a research project aiming to uncover the challenges and opportunities of the Bangladesh RMG industry. Starting in January 2024, the DIS will evaluate the current state of innovation and well-being within the RMG industry in Bangladesh and explore avenues for their enhancement. The insights gathered will offer valuable information for the RMG industry in general and also for participating companies, providing individual benchmarking reports. We plan for the participation of up to 100 companies with at least 61 participants per company, totaling 6,100 participants. The DIS is conducted by the German Technische Universität Dresden (TUD) in collaboration with BGMEA and funded by HELD project established by German Development Cooperation (GIZ).
The DIS is designed as a longitudinal multilevel study:
- There will be two rounds of data collection, spaced about 3-5 months apart, to ensure stable and robust results over time. (longitudinal)
-
We engage three important levels within each company: owner/C-Level, middle management, and white- & blue-collar employees. Each group will receive a specific questionnaire tailored to their role and perspective. (multilevel)
