For what purposes will personal data be processed?
The aim of the project is to connect international students and employers and to place international students in suitable positions within the company. This ensures more practical relevance during their studies and serves to increase their academic success. Students can sharpen their academic and professional profile, which makes the transition to a career easier. Employers can get to know students and get them interested in their company.

What is the legal basis for the processing of personal data?
The legal basis for data processing for the above-mentioned purposes is Art. 6 para. 1 subpara. 1 lit. a GDPR (consent).
What personal data is processed?
Only the personal data resulting from the information you provide in the web form will be processed.
The following personal data is processed
- Surname, first name
- Degree program, semester of study
- Nationality
- Gender
- Relevant details for the placement process
- E-mail address
How long will personal data be stored?
Data is collected on a personal basis, exclusively for the purposes of registration, placement and participant management, for event marketing and for (anonymous) statistics as part of project reporting. This means that conclusions can be drawn about specific individuals based on the data collected.
The personal data will be deleted as soon as you no longer wish to participate in the ScoutingSachsen project (information to Birgit Brand, ), at the latest at the end of the project 03/2025.
Is personal data transmitted to recipients, who at TU Dresden has access to this data and is data collected from third parties?
In individual cases, personal data such as application documents are transmitted to corresponding employers. This is not done without the knowledge of the applicant.
What rights do data subjects have?
- Voluntariness and revocation according to Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR
The provision of personal data is voluntary. Consent to the processing of personal data can be revoked at any time in accordance with Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR with the consequence that the personal data of the person concerned will no longer be processed. - Right to information (Art. 15 GDPR)
Data subjects have the right to request information about the personal data processed about them and the possible recipients of this data at any time. They are entitled to a response within one month of receipt of the request for information. - Right to rectification, erasure and restriction (Art. 16 - 18 GDPR)
Data subjects can request the TU Dresden to rectify, erase or restrict the processing of their personal data at any time. - Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
Data subjects may request that the data controller transmit their personal data to them in a machine-readable format. Alternatively, they may request the direct transfer of the personal data provided by you to another controller, insofar as this is possible. - Data Protection Officer and supervisory authority for data protection
