Registration for auditions is open until April 10, 2023

Would you like to play with the University Orchestra Dresden? They offer trial rehearsals and auditions at the start of each semester so you can get to know them better. If you would like to join the University Orchestra, you will need to audition. The trial rehearsals aren’t mandatory but they can be helpful!

Why do you need to audition?
Auditions give the orchestra an idea of your style of playing, which helps them to decide if you could make music together. It’s also the fairest way to make a selection from of the wonderfully large amount of interest they receive. Trial rehearsals offer you the opportunity to get to know the orchestra better before the auditions. The next trial rehearsals are scheduled for April 3 and 4, 2023, from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm in the Audimax in the Auditorium Center.

The auditions will take place the week of April 17, 2023. The deadline to sign up is April 10, 2023 You will find the registration form here

• Technique (Audition requirements)
• A short piece of your choice (an excerpt of about 2 minutes), we are unable to provide piano accompaniment

Violists, double bassists, oboists, bassoonists, horn players, trumpet players, bass trombone players, and harpists
