To be admitted to the degree program, applicants must have completed a general university entrance qualification (Abitur) or a comparable university entrance qualification.

Information regarding Studienkolleg
Applicants with a foreign university entrance qualification that does not grant them direct access to university education in Germany pursuant to the qualification comparability regulations of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs must attend a Preparatory College (Studienkolleg) prior to studying. You can acquire the subject-specific university entrance qualification here. Further information can be found on the website of the Preparatory College (Studienkolleg).

The requirement for the application is a TMS.
General information about the degree program
This program covers the diagnosis, prophylaxis and treatment of dental, oral and maxillofacial diseases as well as the correction of malocclusion of teeth and jaws. It is conducted based on the licensing regulations for dentists. The training imparts fundamental methodological knowledge, practical skills and a doctor's sense of responsibility both to individual patients and in general.
Students have the opportunity to complete a semester abroad at various European universities or in Canada as part of an exchange program.
Evaluation results in recent years rank the teaching of and research in dentistry in Dresden among the best in Germany.

Occupational fields
After completing your studies and the mandatory 2 years of supervised practice under the instruction of a fully qualified dentist, you will be able to work as a dentist either in your own practice or employed in another practice. You could also work in higher education, at research institutions or in the public health sector.
