Presentation of the Faculty
With 130 scientists at 24 professorships and more than 1,250 students, the Faculty of Architecture at the Excellence University TU Dresden offers the only university-based architecture and landscape architecture education in Saxony. With this combination of both courses of study, it has a profile that also takes into account Dresden's special urban and river landscape.
The methodological focus on design serves as a fundamental basis for teaching and practice. Cooperation with partner universities and non-university research institutions anchor the research activities in an international context. The three characteristic fields of competence "Architecture, City and Landscape" offer forward-looking professional and career perspectives in many areas of society.
The Landscape Architecture program can be studied with Bachelor's and Master's degrees at the Institute of Landscape Architecture. The institute consists of the five teaching and research areas of landscape architecture, landscape planning, landscape construction, history of landscape architecture and plant use. Thus, it covers the entire spectrum of landscape architecture.

Link area
Studying is more than a timetable, lecture hall and books. Therefore, we have compiled a few more useful links. Whether in the lecture hall center, in the lab or in the cafeteria; soon you will know your way around here and then also find the time to discover and enjoy Dresden and its surroundings for yourself.
