MORITZBURG CASTLE with Easter egg hunt

Baroque grandeur against an idyllic backdrop – that’s Moritzburg Castle! Grab a HistoPad and explore the history of this picturesque hunting lodge and pleasure palace to gain a glimpse of the grandiose life of Saxony’s most famous ruler, Augustus the Strong (Augustus I, Elector of Saxony), who threw roaring parties here. The castle also served as the set of “Three Wishes for Cinderella,” a famous Christmas film in Germany known as Drei Haselnüsse für Aschenbrödel. And in good German tradition, there will also be an Easter egg hunt in the surrounding gardens. We’ll finish off the day relaxing with waffles or ice cream at the only lighthouse in Saxony next to the Little Pheasant Castle.
