Description
Machine Learning in Manufacturing is a hybrid course that aims to combine e-learning with on-site learning to prepare students for the practical application of machine learning. It follows a clear structure and explores a different topic each week. Students begin by watching videos and taking quizzes in an independent learning phase, which is followed by an exercise to apply what they learned. Everyone then comes together in a group discussion, replacing the classic lecture, to clarify questions and consolidate knowledge. This format means that students are not simply left alone to learn the content – they acquire knowledge independently and gain support from their instructor and lecturer in crucial areas. The course thus combines flexible (online) learning with the advantages of on-site classes as well as guidance provided by the lecturers and specialist discussions
