Website for Priority Program 2388 "Hundred plus" online
Smart digitization will revolutionize the way complex infrastructures are maintained and upgraded. The online platform, launched today, aims to bring together researchers, practitioners and industry partners to explore new ways to extend the life of buildings and infrastructure through the use of cutting-edge technologies.
The priority program, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), focuses on developing intelligent digitization strategies that can help monitor and minimize structural damage and reduce the need for costly repairs and renovations. With an aging infrastructure and increasing demand for sustainable buildings, the program is timely and relevant to the current challenges facing the construction industry.
The website provides information on the program's goals, research topics, and participating facilities, as well as news and events related to the initiative.
"We are very pleased to launch the website for SPP 2388 - Hundred plus," says Prof. Dr.-Ing. Steffen Marx, spokesperson for the priority program. "This online platform will serve as a hub for exchanging ideas, sharing knowledge and fostering collaborations between researchers, practitioners and industrial partners. We believe that smart digitization has the potential to transform the way we maintain and extend the life of buildings and infrastructure, and we look forward to working together toward that goal."
The launch of the website marks an important milestone for SPP 2388 - Hundred plus, which will run for six years and include more than 20 research projects. By bringing together interdisciplinary expertise from fields such as architecture, engineering, computer science and materials science, the program aims to develop innovative solutions that can improve the durability, safety and sustainability of complex infrastructure.
