Project Field T: Transfer
Since 1999 scientists of the collaborative research centre 528 work on the baiscs for usage of textile reinforcement for structural strengthening and repair. What sounds like a vision in the beginning has meanwhile prove its capability in the lab. With textile reinforcements ultimate capacity can be improved as well as higher qualities concerning servecability and durability of reinforced concrete structures and timber structures.
In the third founding period of the collaborative research centre and constitutive on results from the last two founding periods basic research is going on. Including e.g. enforced use of carbon fibres but also intensifying numerical modeling.
But all the results uptained so far did not only lead to further basic research. In fact – also in few of the consultance the during the last surveys – the point of time has come to enforce required operations to use this technique in practice. This development job, setteled between basic research and applied research can and should be addresed and solved together wir companies from industry.
Within various subareas projekts for transfer of basic research into praxis has been installed:
- Textile machine technique (Transfer Projekt T1)
- Strengthening concrete structures for shear (Transfer Project T3)
- Robustnes of Structures (Transfer Project T4)
- Strengthening of concrete structures for bending (Transfer Project T6)
- Design Strategies (Transfer Project T7)
- Carbon fibre heavy tow reinforcements (Transfer Project T9)
The scientists have been felicitous to win excellent industrie partners which have huge interest on soon applicating research results and which have shown in the past for many times that thy are positive attracted to innovations and that they can convert these innovations as an benefit for the company and particulary the customer.
