Thesen
Detailed knowledge about the bond behaviour betweend reinforcing steel and ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) is crucial for future successful applications of this promising material combination.
Difficulties are expected seeing the far higher brittleness of UHPCcompared to ordinary concrete.
the bond behaviour will be researched on so-called pull-out tests with short bond lenghts. This test concept allows for research on the influence of different parameters. The following parameters are modified:
- bonded length
- steel fibre inclusion: yes/no
- clear cover
The chosen concrete mixture is recipe B5Q.
Theoretic work should include:
- state of the art assessment inxluding MC 90, future MC 2010 an HPC-recommendations
- comparison, analysis and conclusion drawn from produced tests
- application of bond-slip-laws for exemplary calculation of anchorage lengths and long bond langths in single crack formation
- design of a future test setup for testing bond issues on tie specimen
The thesis should summarize preliminary studies, test programs, example calculations and a suggestionfor future work in a consolidated report.
