Bachelor Wiwi: Compulsory modules Economics
There are four compulsory Economics modules in the Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Economics. They each comprise 5 credit points and should be completed in the first three semesters according to the curriculum. They provide a basic understanding of economic thinking, macroeconomic processes and economic issues as part of the subject Business Administration and Economics.
1st semester
Einführung in die Volkswirtschaftslehre |
This module introduces you to basic economic principles and concepts and provides an overview of various topics in economics. |
2nd semester
Einführung in die Mikroökonomie |
This module examines the determinants of individual economic behavior in markets. The focus is on the economic theory of consumer behavior, i.e. the determination of demand for goods with a limited budget. |
Strategie und Wettbewerb |
In this module you will learn the basics of price, competition and game theory. The focus is on how economic entities (especially companies) exploit strategic room for maneuver and what social effects this has. |
3rd semester
Einführung in die Makroökonomie |
This module deals with fundamental macroeconomic relationships in the closed and open economy. It looks at the interactions between money and goods markets and the effects of monetary and fiscal policy. |
In order to be able to take the module examination in Einführung in die Makroökonomie, the module examinations for Einführung in die Volkswirtschaftslehre and Grundlagen des Rechnungswesens must be passed (see § 25 Para. 1 Examination Regulations)!
