See below for their short descriptions. More details are available on the German version of this website.
- Introduction to Business Information Systems (Einführung in die Wirtschaftsinformatik)
This module provides an overview of information systems and information technology in business environments.
- Programming and Databases (Programmierung und Datenbanken)
This module will give you a basic knowledge of the tasks and challenges of programming. You will learn how to create and operate databases and acquire a practical programming language you can apply to using databases.
- Object-oriented Programming (Objektorientierte Programmierung)
You will learn the paradigm of object orientation, a building block of modern professional software development, using the example of an object-oriented programming language (e.g., Java). This knowledge is also required in system modeling, i.e., diagram descriptions using graphical modeling languages.
- Basics of Business Application Systems (Grundlagen betrieblicher Anwendungssysteme)
In this module, you will learn about the functionality of enterprise resource planning systems, using the example of the market-leading system (SAP S/4HANA), and understand the decisions needed when selecting and implementing them.
- Information System Development (Informationssystementwicklung)
This module is about developing and providing information systems in companies, i.e., how to work on projects and use tools to build information systems for final users. You will also create a small information system by yourself using modern tools without traditional programming.
