Econometrics
Summary
How can theoretical scientific statements be verified empirically, i.e. on the basis of data? This is one of the questions addressed by the "Econometrics" profile. Students learn to specify, analyze and interpret econometric models based on economic theories. For example, regression models are constructed and analyzed, different types of models for time series data are developed, and the maximun likelihood method is applied. Students are guided to work independently with econometric models and learn to interpret results appropriately.
