Das übergeordnete Ziel des Vorhabens ist die Entwicklung von Darstellungsformen für die Vermittlung von landeskundlichen Landschaftsinformationen, welche die zeitlichen Perspektiven aus der Vergangenheit mit der Gegenwart bis zur Zukunft miteinander verbindet. Die Informationsvermittlung soll mit zeitgemäßen digitalen Formaten umgesetzt werden. Das Ergebnis ist die Verknüpfung von grundlegend neuartigen Konzepten landeskundlicher Forschung mit zeitgemäßen technischen Mitteln der mobilen Informationsdarstellung.
Das Medienzentrum setzt für die Vermittlung landeskundlicher Informationen mit einem Content-Management-System (CMS) eine browserbasierten responsiven Webanwendung auf. Neue Visualisierungsformate werden mit neuen Formen von Mixed Reality Anwendung für die Darstellung von orts- und kontextbezogenen Informationen umgesetzt. Die Themenschwerpunkte umfassen die Erstellung eines Interaktionskonzeptes sowie eine nutzerfreundliche Informationsvisualisierung. Neben der Benutzerbarkeit und dem Anwendererlebnis, sind die interaktive Nutzerführung bei der Wissensvermittlung sowie die inhaltlich ansprechende Gestaltung der Information für mobile Anwendungen zentrale Punkte im Projekt.
Die Anwendung erfolgt prototypisch an den zwei Standorten Lommatzscher Innerstadt und Ketzerbachtal. Die jeweiligen Fallbeispiele sind auf das IfL und dem IöR aufgeteilt.
