in Kooperation mit der Diathek der Philosophischen Fakultät
Die vollständige Diasammlung der Philosophischen Fakultät der TU Dresden wird mit der „Diathek online“ im Internet zur Verfügung gestellt. Schrittweise werden alle – ca. 200.000 – vorhandenen Dias digitalisiert, bearbeitet und über das Internet nicht nur den Studenten und Mitarbeitern der TU Dresden, sondern anderen Interessierten zur Nutzung für Lehre und Forschung bereitgestellt.
Eine komfortable Suchfunktion bietet vielfältige Recherchemöglichkeiten. Die gefundenen Dias können in Arbeitsmappen abgelegt werden. Mit Hilfe dieser Arbeitsmappen lassen sich eigene Präsentationen zusammenstellen, die ohne zusätzliche Software abspielbar sind. Zudem können umfangreiche Themensammlungen aufgebaut werden. Die Arbeit an einer Themensammlung soll nicht auf einen Nutzer beschränkt bleiben, sondern auch innerhalb einer Gruppe, die z.B. an einem Forschungsprojekt arbeitet, möglich sein.
Über eine Schnittstelle können andere Bildarchive angebunden werden, so dass der für Recherchen verfügbare Bestand je nach Bedarf beliebig erweitert werden kann.
Für die fachliche Kompetenz der „Diathek online“ war M. A. Andrea Kiehn, Diathek der Philosophischen Fakultät, verantwortlich. Die technologische Konzipierung der Bilddatenbank und ihre Umsetzung sowie die Realisierung der Webpräsentation erfolgten im Media Design Center.
