In May 2015, Technische Universität (TU) Dresden has obtained the institutional membership of the European Association of Research Managers (EARMA). EARMA is a non-profit organization based in Brussels / Belgium, with more than 700 members from 35 countries representing the community of Research Managers and Administrators (RM&As) in Europe.

EARMA provides a networking forum, a transnational learning platform, and a place to share experiences and best practice among RM&As throughout EARMA and in the wider RM&A community.

The institutional membership enables all staff of the TU Dresden to benefit from following advantages:

• Forum to meet, network and share experiences: EARMA serves as an European network of professional RM&As. There are also worldwide contacts with other research organisations, e.g. ARMS (Australasian Research Managers Association), ACU (Association of Commonwealth Universities) and SARIMA (Southern African Research and Innovation Management Association).
• Frequent information exchange and learning platform
• Bi-monthly newsletter, monthly professional publication "Link", annual conference comprising keynote speeches and workshops on relevant research management topics
• Reduced participation fee for the annual conference and other events of EARMA
• Member benefits from EARMA sponsors (e.g.10% discount on courses by Seán McCarthy of Hyperion and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology)
• EARMA Funding: Members have the opportunity to apply for various scholarships and grants from EARMA.
