As part of the Horizon Europe Strategic Plan 2025–2027, the European Commission is launching three new partnerships focused on advanced materials, textiles, and photovoltaics. These initiatives aim to promote growth, sustainability, and resilience, supporting a competitive and inclusive Europe.

The European Partnership for Innovation in Photovoltaics (EUPI-PV Partnership) will bolster Europe's role in the global PV industry, aiding the shift to solar energy as outlined in the European Green Deal and REPowerEU. It will help expand EU manufacturing capacity, build a more resilient supply chain, and reduce fossil fuel dependency, with up to €240 million in joint investment from the European Commission and the private partners each planned by 2030.

The European Partnership for Textiles of the Future will support the transition of the textile industry towards circularity and sustainability, in line with the EU Strategy for Sustainable and Circular Textiles. By leveraging digital innovation and new business models, it will enhance the industry's global competitiveness, backed by joint funding of up to €30 million from the European Commission and the private partners each.

The European Partnership for Innovative Advanced Materials for the EU (IAM4EU) will promote technology sovereignty and industrial leadership through the development of safe and sustainable advanced materials. This partnership will receive up to €250 million in joint investment from the European Commission and the private partners each to support innovation aligned with circular economy goals.

These partnerships will be launched through Horizon Europe work programmes and will be complemented by additional investments and activities by the partners.
