Europa fördert Sachsen!
"Europe is good for Saxony - Saxony is good for Europe." – The statement of the SMWA Minister, Martin Dulig to the EU structural fund support. The Free State received approx. EUR 2.8 billion in 2014 - 2020 (ESF: 700 million; ERDF: EUR 2.1 billion). This period was already the fifth EU funding period for Saxony.
In funding period 2021 - 2027, Saxony is expected to receive around EUR 2.54 billion, with approx. EUR 2.25 billion for the transition regions of Chemnitz and Dresden and approx. EUR 285 million for the more developed Leipzig region. The distribution of funds between the EFRE and ESF and among the various projects within the funds is still being worked out and agreed.
