The Eurostars program starts with its second call in 2023 on September 14^th, 2023. Eurostars aims at supporting European cooperation between small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in R&D projects. The funded joint projects are open-topic and for civil purposes. They aim to develop an innovative product, process or service.

Hard Facts:

• two countries minimum
• coordinator has to be SME
• Participation of German Universities (for 120 % funding) when German SME is participating
• SMEs have to cover 50 % of the overall project costs
• Maximum of German funding of 500,000 Euros for max. three years
• close to market, approximate enter to market two years after end of project
• German funding via Projektträger DLR
• two cut-off dates per year (spring and fall)
