ERA-NET AXIS: Pre-announcement for Joint Transnational Call on Climate Impact Research, Economic Assessment and Pathways to Sustainability
The ERA-NET Consortium AXIS (Assessment of Cross(X)-sectoral climate Impacts and pathways for Sustainable transformation) was created to promote cross-boundary, cross-community research with the overall goal to improve coherence, integration and robustness of climate impact research and connect it to societal needs.
A Joint Transnational Call for research proposals with an indicative budget of 15 – 17 Mio. € to support international research projects of a duration of up to 3 years will be opened at the beginning of April 2018.
The AXIS joint call will be structured into three interlinked themes:
- Cross-sectoral and cross-scale climate change impact assessments,
- Integration of biophysical climate change impact estimates with economic models,
- Developing pathways to achieve the long-term objectives of the Paris Agreement, taking into account interactions with Sustainable Development Goals closely linked to the Goal 13 (“climate action).”
Proposals require eligible partners from at least three different countries participating in the AXIS call.
There will be a two-stage procedure for joint applications to this call. Pre-registration deadline will be in June 2018. Successful proposals will be invited to submit a full proposal by October 2018.
Please find more detailed information on the ERA-NET AXIS website as well as in the pre-announcement of the call.
