The Institute is responsible for the teaching of primary school pedagogy and the educational science components of the teaching degree for secondary school and grammar school at TU Dresden. Institute of Vocational Education and Vocational Didactics
The Institute and its Chairs cover a broad spectrum of didactic disciplines, with a focus on international cooperation and educational research. Core research areas are needs analysis, curriculum development, media use and skills development. It supports teaching, research, further education and consultancy at all levels of education. Institute of Social Pedagogy, Social Work and Welfare Studies
The Institute of Social Pedagogy, Social Work and Welfare Science was founded in 1992 as part of the Faculty of Education and is currently divided into three Chairs. Chair of Education / Inclusive Education
Prof. Dr. phil. Anke Langner
The Chair of Education / Inclusive Education was established at the Faculty of Education in 2013. Since then, it has been held by Prof. Dr. Anke Langner.
The Chair is the only Chair in Saxony that is linked to the topic of inclusion in general education and does not operate in the environment of special education or inclusion education professorships with differentiation of individual special educational needs. The Chair has the task of anchoring inclusion as a cross-cutting issue in the teaching of all teacher training programs.
