How is the degree program structured?
The standard period of study for Teacher Training for Elementary Schools is 8 semesters and it covers various areas:
- Your chosen subject (core subject) and related teaching methodologies
- Elementary school didactics
- Educational sciences (primary education, pedagogy and psychology)
- School practice studies
- Supplementary area for individual specializations
- The first State Examination
Studies in these areas will provide students with a first degree qualifying them to pursue a professional career and to enter the practical training phase in schools (Referendariat).
