Research Colloquium

Prof. Dr. Heike Greschke held the professorship until the 2022/23 winter semester. She has been teaching at Bielefeld University since the 2023 summer semester.

Thinking through ‘The Transnational’: A Tumultuous Task?

Dr. Marius Meinhof held the professorship from the 2023/2024 winter semester to the 2025 summer semester. He is project manager of the DFG-funded project “Civilized Families: Discourses of ‘Childish Loyalty’ in China in the Age of the ‘Chinese Dream’” at Bielefeld University.

Nomination of professorship to change in summer term 2026

From the 2016/2017 winter semester to the 2025/2026 winter semester, the professorship was titled Sociological Cultural Comparison and Qualitative Social Research.

From the 2026 summer semester onwards, the professorship will be titled Global Cultures and Qualitative Social Research.
