General information on data processing
We collect and use the personal data of our users only to the extent necessary to provide a functional website and our content and services.
What data is processed?
Name, address, email address, institution, project or sponsoring association, function within the project, request
Purpose of the data processing
Rental and dispatch of educational materials, collection of feedback to improve the materials, needs assessment
Processing orders for educational materials
Obtaining feedback to improve the quality of the materials
Legal basis for data processing
Processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (contract fulfillment and pre-contractual measures).
How long will the data be stored?
The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected and there are no statutory retention obligations.
Disclosure of data to third parties
Your personal data will not be passed on to third parties. Exceptions to this are only made if this is necessary to fulfill the contract or if we are legally obliged to do so.
For the purposes of reporting to funding bodies or for research purposes, the data is only passed on in anonymized form, so that no conclusions can be drawn about individual persons.
Rights of the data subject
Right to information (Art. 15 GDPR)
You have the right to request information about the personal data processed about you and the possible recipients of this data at any time. You are entitled to a response within one month of receipt of the request for information.
Right to rectification, erasure and restriction (Art. 16-18 GDPR)
You can request the TU Dresden to rectify or erase your personal data or to restrict processing at any time.
Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
You can request that the controller transmit your personal data to you in machine-readable form. Alternatively, you can request the direct transfer of the personal data you have provided to another controller, insofar as this is possible.
Right to lodge a complaint (Art. 77 GDPR)
You can contact the Data Protection Officer of TU Dresden (see above) at any time and, in the event of a complaint under Art. 77 GDPR, you can contact a data protection supervisory authority.
