Travel survey by app
Welcome!
To find out how people get around on a daily basis and to estimate urban mobility trends based on this data, we at TUD Dresden University of Technology are conducting a travel survey using a smartphone app in the cities of Berlin, Dresden and Munich. The survey focuses on all forms of mobility—including by car, bus, and train; by bike; on foot; and via new modes of transportation such as electric scooters.

Smartphone-Based Mobility Survey
In the “Städte in Bewegung Plus” project, mobility behavior is collected using the smartphone app “Städte in Bewegung Plus (StiB+)”, which was developed specifically for this research project. The app was programmed for this research project by the Berlin-based software company motiontag.
The data obtained from the survey is extremely valuable for transportation planning. The results serve as an important foundation for ensuring mobility, making urban transportation even more adaptable in the future, and tailoring it to your needs.
