Call for applications for summer, autumn or winter schools, workshops, etc. Measures to promote female students and scientists in the ING School

Funding of up to EUR 15,000 will be made available from the equal opportunities budget of the ING school.
Measures are eligible for funding:
- whose leadership is located in the ING department (department, faculties, institutes or chairs).
- that aim to network and empower women in the ING department, highlight career paths or deal with gender and diversity aspects in research and teaching
Target groups: female students, doctoral candidates, postdocs, research assistants.
Eligible expenditure:
- Material resources for organisation and implementation
- Fees and travel expenses for guest lecturers
- Expense allowances to cover travel and accommodation costs for participants
- Publication costs
The implementation and cash expenditure of the funds must take place in 2024.
The measure (e.g. summer school) can be aimed at an international group of participants and address current research topics or the individual skills development of the participants.
The criteria for confirmation of a funding budget by the ING division management and the associated release of funds are
- Completeness of the documents
- Quality and coherence of the overall concept
- Target group focus (at least half of the participants must be female)
- Degree of interdisciplinarity
- Status and quality of the preparatory and planning work
- Plausibility of the financial planning
The selection process will take place within the School in March 2024. Applicants will then be informed promptly of the outcome. Please send your application informally by e-mail to the Equal Opportunities Officer of the School of Engineering Sciences by March 4, 2024. Background: It is important to the ING School to recruit female academic and artistic staff and to support them in their academic careers. Against this background, the ING School has also committed itself to the university management with the target agreement to achieve a proportion of female academic and artistic staff of 20% by the deadline of 1 December 2024 (actual value as of 1 December 2020 in the ING School 17.9%). In this context, the Equal Opportunities Office of the ING School is publishing this call for applications.
Call for applications for targeted support for female postdoctoral researchers (academic staff up to a maximum of 12 years after their doctorate), junior research group leaders, habilitation candidates and junior professors in the ING School through material resources
Deadline: Applications can be submitted on an ongoing basis.
The School of Engineering Sciences aims to increase the proportion of women in professorships, junior professorships, completed habilitation procedures and junior research group leaders.
In recent years, TU Dresden has taken increased measures to achieve the goals of a gender-equitable and family-friendly university. If individual needs are not covered by TU Dresden's existing programmes, female academics in the ING School who fall into the above-mentioned groups can apply for specific funding.
Procedure:
- Please contact the Equal Opportunities Officers in the ING School by e-mail/telephone and outline your needs. We will check with you whether your needs can be covered by existing TUD programmes.
- If this is not the case, you can apply for specific material resources from the equal opportunities budget of the ING School. You will receive the necessary documents by email after the consultation.
Funding amount: Maximum of EUR 1,500 per application.
Deadline: Applications can be submitted on an ongoing basis.
