My experiences with the study programme NES
Students of the Master's programme in "Nanoelectronic Systems" will learn methods, techniques and tools for the design, manufacture, and application of nanoelectronic devices and systems. They will become familiar with the latest research and developments in these subject areas.
Some hints for future NES students
I would like to suggest that all future NES students take full advantage of this program and focus on mastering the fundamentals. It is essential for students to attend lectures and explore various areas of interest. Engaging in research and practical projects is also highly beneficial, as it not only helps students stay updated with advancements but also provides opportunities for internships or work experiences in the industry. Furthermore, it is crucial for students to enjoy the journey and make the most of their time at the University.
Job chances
The job prospects after graduating from the NES programme are excellent. Dresden, being the epicenter of Silicon Saxony, offers a wide range of opportunities in all three key areas of nanoelectronic systems. I personally began my journey in the industry as an intern, then went on to collaborate on a master's thesis between the University and Infineon, and eventually became a full-time employee. I believe that the future of the semiconductor industry is very promising, and we are already witnessing a high demand for young talents. I wish all the students the very best.
Testimonial of the former student Seyyedmohsen Seyyedrezaei, Research Assistant at the TU Dresden Institute of Principles of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Chair of Circuit Design and Network Theory
As a graduate student of the Master of Nanoelectronic Systems (NES) program at TU Dresden, I want to share my enthusiasm for this exceptional journey with new students. This program is an incredible opportunity, especially in the beautiful city of Dresden. NES offers not only a high-class education but also a pathway to a promising career in nanoelectronic design, applications, and technology.
Studying NES at TU Dresden means immersing yourself in a top-ranked university with renowned professors. This experience equips you with extensive, leading-edge knowledge and opens doors to potential PhD pursuits in nanoelectronic design, applications, or technology. Moreover, the program provides ample opportunities for industry collaborations through projects, master's theses, or student job placements, setting you up for a bright future.
To make the most of your NES experience, my advice is to decide on your specialization early and plan your semesters strategically. Building a solid foundation in the fundamentals is crucial for success in more advanced courses. Even if you have a clear mind about one of the abovementioned directions of NES, consider exploring courses from other areas of NES to gain a broader perspective. These two years at TU Dresden will be a transformative journey into the exciting world of electronic design and technology, offering great opportunities.
