Girls' Day 2015
Like every year since the beginning of the project "Girl's Day" the TUD opened its doors in April 2015 to gave a huge amount of girls the chance to enlarge their professional perspectives regarding natural sciences and technical areas.
Also the Cfaed (Center for Advancing Electronics Dresen) and the collaborative research center 912 - HAEC gave some impressions of their work and their scientifical profile. In cooperation with the Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden (IPF) and the Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research Dresden (IFW) the future of the mobile phone had been researched. Furthermore, the girls have gotten the chance to take a ride on the superconducting suspension railway. Scientists of the areas computer science, electrical engineering and materials science explained to the teenagers how a smartphone works, a thing, they use every day, or why one calls a polymer intelligent material.
