14th International Fluid Power Conference in Dresden - Bridging the gap between science and industry
After many months of preparation, the time had finally come: on March 19-21, the 14th International Fluid Power Conference brought together leading scientists and industry representatives in Dresden to discuss the latest developments and research findings in fluid technology. As announced, the focus of the conference was on sustainability issues in fluid-mechatronic engineering. Numerous presentations were devoted to topics such as energy efficiency, innovative system architectures, environmental friendliness and the use of alternative materials and working media. These discussions were closely linked to the traditional sessions on mobile and stationary applications and fluid-mechatronic components. The venue - the Auditorium Center of TU Dresden - was a novelty for many, but offered the advantage that both the lecture series and the accompanying trade exhibition, including test field tours, could take place compactly side by side. This further intensified the exchange of knowledge.
The IFK team led by Prof. Weber would like to thank all participants, advisors and organizers for their contribution to the success of this conference. Your commitment and expertise helped to make this event an inspiring and fruitful platform for knowledge exchange. We cannot emphasize enough how important it is for academia and industry to work side by side. The keynotes and discussions at the conference clearly demonstrated the need to work together to create innovative solutions that can make fluid technology and our society as a whole more sustainable and advance it in every way. We are confident that the discussions and insights from this conference will help drive the future of fluid power and open up new opportunities for research, innovation and collaboration.
