Research

The Chair of Wood Technology and Fiber Materials Technology is unique in Germany, as it covers the production of wood-based materials and paper as well as the entire materials processing chain through to the finished product (furniture, construction elements, paper, packaging and other products from the wood and paper industry and related industries). In addition, other composite materials based on wood, lignocellulosic materials or other materials are also being researched and developed. Research is currently carried out by four working groups, which are interdisciplinary in composition depending on the type of material.
