Data Protection and Consent Statement for the SprInt Program

01. Purpose and Data Collection Authority

Your personal data will be used

a) for the purposes of implementing the SprInt programme and its individual components (language courses and intercultural seminars) as well as sending announcements, information on seminars and language courses by e-mail or certificates by in-house mail,

b) for organisational purposes (communication with the external language course providers linguarama and Altissia, lecturers and trainers) for the preparation of language courses and assignment of licenses for the language learning app and for the organization of seminars, as well as

(c) for statistical purposes in an anonymised form for internal reporting and for accounting with the funding provider.

The data will be processed by the SprInt team, Mommsenstraße 6, 01069 Dresden,

02. Data Processing

The data will be processed electronically by the above-mentioned office and will only be passed on to third parties for the purposes of organising the SprInt programme (language courses and intercultural seminars) (see 4. Data transfer). Furthermore, your data will only be used in anonymous form for internal reporting purposes and for billing with the funding provider.

03. Voluntary Nature and Revocation

Consent to the use of personal data is voluntary. Participation in the SprInt program is not possible without consent. If the consent is revoked, the data stored up to that point will continue to be stored due to budgetary regulations (invoice verification by the funding agency DFG), but will not be used for other purposes.

04. Data Transmission

(a) Component A: Language competence

Your name, contact details and preferences will be sent to the external language course providers linguarama and Altissia. Altissia will also receive the details of your country of recidence and the professional status (university employee) and the selected learning language. This data will be used by both of this partner companys exclusively for the purposes of organising the language courses and language learing with the app (e.g. direct contact for the placement test, compiling the course groups, communication regarding the distribution of the courses or regarding the subscription for the app use and creating the user account and to enrich your user experience) and will be passed on to third parties only when it is necessary for the aims of the project.

b) Component B: Intercultural Competence

Your name, function and structural unit will be passed on to the trainers if requested by them. The data will be used exclusively for the purpose of preparing the intercultural seminars and will not be passed on to third parties.

c) Internal reporting and auditing by the DFG: Your personal data will only be used anonymously.

05. Storage Period

The data will be stored for up to 10 years after the calculations are completed for the overall project (Institutional Strategy) and then deleted.

06. Publication

Your data will only be published anonymously for internal reporting purposes.

07. Right to information

I am aware that I may at any time request information on the personal data processed concerning me and the possible recipients of such data to whom it has been communicated, and that I have the right to a reply within one month of the request for information being received.

08. Data protection officer and supervisory authority for data protection

I am aware that I can contact the data protection officer of TU Dresden and the responsible supervisory authority for data protection at any time.
