Whether you are choosing a degree program and are applying to TU Dresden, organizing your studies, or planning a stay abroad, you can count on us.

Before studying
Especially for international applicants, many things will be new and different from their home countries. All information about applying for a degree or exchange program, as well as information about preparing for your studies and available scholarships, can be found on our “International Affairs” web pages under “Before Studying.”
How is student life in Dresden?
During your studies
Are you already at TU Dresden? We want to provide you with the best possible support so that you feel completely at home with us. The International Office advises students on all matters relating to the organization of their studies, such as changing programs, re-registration, or taking a leave of absence. Information on exams and the recognition of exam results can be obtained from the Examination Office at your Faculty. Moreover, each Faculty has at least one tutor for international students. We support students who want to graduate from TUD as well as exchange students who stay in Dresden for one or two semesters. Learning alongside and from each other
Sharing experiences, learning languages, meeting new people – all of this is possible with continuing education and leisure activities at TU Dresden.

After graduation
Starting your career in Germany
The Career Service provides coaching services that are specially tailored to the needs of international students and offers one-to-one advice for the perfect start to your career in Germany. You will find an overview on the “Career Building Opportunities for International Students” web page.
Alumni network and regional ambassadors
Join the alumni network if you want to stay informed about TUD and your faculty. You can also help others who are new to TUD by becoming a Regional Ambassador. To find out more about both of these options, please visit the alumni page.
Departure
Has your stay come to an end and are you planning your departure? What you need to do:
- Cancel all contracts and insurance policies
- De-register at the Einwohnermeldeamt (registration office)
- Apply for de-registration if needed
- Check that your grades and proof of academic performance are in order
