Equal Opportunities Plan accepted by the council of the School of Science!
At the meeting of the Council of the School of Science on 24 June 2020, the Equal Opportunities Plan of the School was accepted with 25 votes in favour and one abstention. The draft plan had previously been submitted to the members of the Faculty Councils of all five faculties for opinion-forming and discussion. The plan is valid for the period from 2020 to 2030 and comprises the following four fields of action: 1. Realisation of the objectives of the TUD's gender equality concept for the proportion of women and men at different career stages in science, 2. Anchoring of gender equality work in the faculties and in the School of Science, 3. Compatibility of family, studies and work, and 4. Gender and diversity aspects in research and teaching, studies and work processes. It is based on a total of 28 measures. If you are interested in details, you can find the plan here.
The implementation of the Equal Opportunities Plan is to be monitored every 3 years at the beginning of a new term of the Council of the School of Science and the Faculty Councils. For this purpose, an analysis of the implementation of the planned measures and their success is to be carried out with the help of the quality management at central and School level. Under the direction of the spokesperson of the School of Science or the persons responsible for gender equality issues from the School of Science Collegium, conclusions are then to be drawn for the adaptation of the measures.
