Basics of Scientific Reading and Writing in the Winter Term 2023/24

In the winter semester, the Writing Center of the TU Dresden and the SLUB offer a joint series of events on the basics of scientific reading and writing (events in German): In lectures with tips and exercises you can, for example, find out which writing and working type you are; how you can organize your writing process well, overcome writer's block, structure your texts sensibly and revise them; which reading and writing strategies help you and how you can use literature management and other helpful software sensibly.

Wednesdays, 4th and partly 5th double period (1:00 p.m. - 4:20 p.m.), online, from October 11th to December 13th, 2023
ungraded certificate of achievement, 2 CP (= 60 working hours): 10 places, enrollment from September 1st - October 06th via enrollment in the OPAL course of the Writing Center > studium generale. For the certificate of achievement you will compile a portfolio with one exercise from each course and participate in a final interview in February.
Certificate of attendance, 1 CP (= 30 working hours): 30 places, enrollment from September 1 - Ocotber 06th via enrollment in the OPAL course of the Writing Center > studium generale. Registration required for proof of attendance of all courses or substitute performance by individual arrangement.
Ergänzungsbereich Teacher Training: 10 places, enrollment from September 1st - October 06th via enrollment in the OPAL course of the Writing Center > studium generale AS WELL AS the usual registration via Hisqis/Selma. For the certificate of achievement you will compile a portfolio with one exercise from each course and participate in a final interview in February. Registration required for the graded certificate.
