Journey to Vogtland – from the dragon´s lair to the town of lace
The Vogtland region is located in the border area of Bavaria, Saxony, Thuringia and Czech Republic. On Saturday, November 5th, we will set out for two towns of this idyllic region: Syrau and Plauen. First we will enter the mysterious and hidden world of the so called dragon´s cave in Syrau and discover different kinds of dripstones and crystal clear lakes underground. By bus we continue our journey and visit Plauen with Germany´s only lace museum. There we can marvel at the “Plauener Spitze” (Lace made in Plauen), which is world-wide known among lovers of exclusive fashion, home textiles and accessories.
