Saxon and Sorbian traditions at the museum of Saxon folk art
Saxony is a diverse region with many local traditions, languages and of course culinary treats. Handcrafts give a very special insight in the everyday life of local people in the past and present. On Sunday, May 27th, you can get to know a lot of them in just one place, on a guided tour to the museum of Saxon folk art: enchanting carved objects from the Ore Mountains (not only nutcrackers!) and embroidered woven textiles from Lusatia, lavish Sorb costumes and intricate lace from the Vogtland region, painted furniture, richly decorated ceramics and an unusually diverse collection of historic toys. After the visit tot he museum we can have a chat around German „Kaffee und Kuchen“ about new and old traditions in our home countries.

Included in the price:
- entrance fee and guided tour of the museum of Saxon folk art
