Admission requirements
Note! Part-time study is only possible in discipline I.
Prerequisite: a university degree in Business Education and Management Training or a related field. A further requirement is the proof of the following knowledge:
Suitable candidates
a) have a Bachelor's degree in economic sciences with a major in Business Education and Management Training in the field of study of economic sciences or the field of study of Business Education and Management Training from TU Dresden or
b) a university degree recognised as being equivalent for which at least 90% of achievements have been acquired at a state-recognised university and
c) can prove the acquisition of at least 15 credits (ECTS) of not intersecting content from the area of Business Education and Management Training and of at least 51 credits (ECTS) from the following course catalogue:
• Economic sciences of at least 42 credits (ECTS) of not intersecting content from the area of
• Mathematics, statistics, law and quantitative/qualitative procedures of at least 9 credits of not intersecting content (ECTS).
If English is chosen as subject specialisation within the framework of this Master's programme, a language aptitude test is required. Graduates of TU Dresden in the Bachelor's programmes Business and Economics with the subject qualification Englisch, Linguistics, Literature and Cultural Studies with main subject English or American Studies and teacher training courses for general or vocational schools with English as a teaching subject are excempt from this test.

• Subject qualification German, knowledge of a foreign language is demonstrated by the completion of the basic course at level B2 of the of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
• Subject qualification English:
1. a first recognised university degree that qualifies for a profession in Bachelor's course Business Education and Management Training or Economic sciences with English as a subject qualification or subject and
2. the passing of an aptitude test according to the Rules of Procedure for the Aptitude Test [Eignungsfeststellungsordnung]. Details are regulated in the Rules of Procedure for the Aptitude Test [Eignungsfeststellungsordnung] (Rules of Procedure for the Aptitude Test for the subject specialisation English in the Master's degree course Business Education and Management Training).
3. knowledge of a foreign language, demonstrated by the completion of the basic course at level B2 of the of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

1. knowledge of Latin is demonstrated by passing an exam in a language learning seminar to the extent of 2 weekly lecture hours or the Latin proficiency certificate [Latinum] and
2. basic knowledge of New Testament Greek or basic knowledge of Hebrew is demonstrated by passing an exam in a language learning seminar to the extent of 2 weekly lecture hours.
• Subject qualification Catholic religion:
1. knowledge of Latin is demonstrated by passing an exam in a language learning seminar to the extent of 2 weekly lecture hours or the Latin proficiency certificate [Latinum] and
2. basic knowledge of New Testament Greek or basic knowledge of Hebrew is demonstrated by passing an exam in a language learning seminar to the extent of 2 weekly lecture hours.
3. basic knowledge of Hebrew is demonstrated by passing an exam in a language learning seminar to the extent of 2 weekly lecture hours.
Aptitude assessment procedure
The participation in an aptitude assessment or selection procedure is a prerequisite for enrollment in this degree program. Please note that the deadline for submitting an application may be earlier than the application deadlines for the degree program (see above under application deadlines). International applicants and German applicants with a foreign university entrance qualification are kindly advised to read the requirements for German-language courses.
Notes on the application process
If, at the time of application, proof of the first degree qualifying the applicant for a profession is not yet available, the application will be considered under the precondition that 80% of the credit points attainable for the degree have already been achieved based on completed module examinations or the final thesis and the colloquium (if applicable). A certification from the awarding institute of higher education (examination office) serves as proof of the above-mentioned academic achievements. General information about the degree program
The interdisciplinary, research- and practice-oriented master´s programme in business and economics education combines aspects from business and economics, education, and when indicated another field of study. It aims at preparing students for a variety of professions, such as human resources manager, teacher etc. The programme follows a learner-centred approach and focuses on the active participation of the students.
Students are able to choose an economic or a non-economic emphasis for this course of study. The programme with an economic emphasis (Studienrichtung I) imparts profound knowledge of business management, economics and economics education. The programme with a non-economic emphasis (Studienrichtung II) imparts knowledge of business management, economics and economics education as well as knowledge of one of the following fields: computer science, mathematics, German, English, French, history, protestant theology, catholic theology and philosophy.
