Networks
German Society for Sustainability at Universities
The Environment Commission of TUD has been a member of the German Society for Sustainability at Universities (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nachhaltigkeit an Hochschulen) since 2023. The society aims to make sustainable development at German universities more visible and to strengthen those who are committed to sustainability through application-oriented, creative dialogue. TUD is actively involved in various network hubs, including biodiversity, education for sustainable development, and sustainable procurement. More on the network
Joint Action for Sustainable Development
The Joint Action for Sustainable Development is an initiative and open platform to promote commitment to sustainability in Germany. On 26 September 2022, the Joint Action for Sustainable Development was officially launched at the Annual Conference of the German Council for Sustainable Development (RNE). Local Agenda Dresden
Local Agenda 21 Dresden was founded in 1998 by representatives of politics, public administration, business, research, culture, and the environment. The work and commitment of the Local Agenda is based on the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The core tasks of the Local Agenda Dresden are to represent the interests of its members and to influence municipal structures, processes and decisions, as well as public relations work. Center for University Didactics in Saxony (HDS)
In 2020, the teaching and learning network “ESD in university teaching” was founded with teaching staff from all universities in Saxony with the goal of promoting regular discussion and strategic action. The network is based at the Center for University Didactics in Saxony (HDS). More information on the teaching and learning network.
netzwerk n
netzwerk n connects students, doctoral candidates, young professionals, and initiatives at universities. It is primarily organized by students. Stakeholders work together with netzwerk n to develop multiplier and educational programs. More on netzwerk n
Entwicklungspolitsches Netzwerk Sachsen e.V. (ENS)
ENS connects stakeholders involved in development policy in Saxony, supports projects, and develops educational programs for educational institutions. TUD stakeholders cooperate with ENS with regard to the implementation of sustainable procurement opportunities and continuing education. More on ENS
