Four student projects make Dresden more sustainable - the Climate Challenge enters the final spurt
In the winter semester 2024/25, 10 students took part in the Climate Challenge - a cooperation project between netzwerk n and the Green Office. Aspart of the course, the students developed four projects that were intended to contribute to sustainability in Dresden and show how they can be personally effective: 1) A concept of a regular plant swap on campus was created. With this offer, the student group would also like to educate visitors about the CO2 footprint and environmental impact of houseplants. 2) A student group would like to use a film to draw attention to the environmental destruction caused by plastic. 3) Within an association, more vegetarian alternatives are to be offered. The response was positive and initial ideas for implementation were developed. 4) As part of their project, a student group wanted to raise awareness of vegan nutrition and collected recipes that are simple, inexpensive and easy to integrate into everyday life.
