Women Leading in Academia – Program for female professors
With the one-year qualification program Women Leading in Academia, TU Dresden addresses female professors (W2, W3 and W1 in the advanced tenure-track process) who want to strengthen and develop their leadership skills and expand their professional network.
Career programm for women in science
The TU Dresden has set itself the goal of increasing the proportion of female professors and postdocs. Through the federal and state program for female professors, the TU Dresden is able to provide targeted support for female scientists in the postdoc phase with this workshop program. In addition, there are also individual coaching offers that can be taken advantage of within this framework.
Maria Reiche Postdoctoral Fellowship
The Maria Reiche Postdoctoral Fellowships support excellent female postdocs in their intention to independently acquire a third-party funded project in order to qualify for a scientific career at the TU Dresden with the goal of becoming a professor.
You will receive a full-time fellowship for up to two years in order to develop your unique scientific profile and to submit an independent research proposal to an external funding body for a third-party funded project that will pave your way to a professorship (e.g. DFG Emmy Noether Program, ERC Starting Grant, DFG Heisenberg Program, etc.).
Scholarships for doctoral candidates
Scholarship programmes offer scholarships for young researchers over a period of up to three years.
Eleonore Trefftz Program for Visiting Women Professors
The Eleonore Trefftz Programme for Visiting Women Professors at TU Dresden makes temporary stays possible for visiting women scientists who represent their subject in teaching and research at the faculty concerned. Visiting women professors can spend one or two semesters (or up to 12 months starting at any time in the academic year) at TU Dresden. The programme serves to promote careers for women on their path to a professorship.
The Femtec.Network
Femtec, in cooperation with TU Dresden, offers a career building programme that gives ambitious female students the opportunity to set the right course for career advancement in scientific and technical courses yet at an early stage. Femtec offers in particular assistance, support and workshops (schools) for our female students.
