Events in context of IDAHOBIT 2022 at TUDDigital Workshop: Make up is political
Make-up, especially worn by women and non-binary people, is often seen as a subjugation to vested sexist ideals of beauty.
Make up has a long feminsitic tradition like the red lipstick of the suffragettes or make up for femme persons of the queer community.
In this digital workshop, on the one hand, these queer feminist traditions will be explained, a critical examination of one's own make-up practices and a practical exercise with make-up will take place.
The speaker:in Katharina Klappheck is a political scientist and activist at the Gunda Werner Institute, working on artificial intelligence, queer politics and disability.
