Love Data Week 2025: Events on Research Data and its Management
As part of the global Love Data Week from February 10 to 14, 2025, many exciting and educational events will take place around data and data management. The TU Dresden and the SLUB are once again involved, offering engaging on-site events.
Throughout February, you can take part in various online courses on research data management offered by the TU Dresden Service Center Research Data. You can find an overview here:
On February 14, from 10 am to 3 pm, the Come2Data team cordially invite you to the Open Science Lab. You can expect short presentations (exclusively in German), for example on FAIRness in machine learning, metadata catalogs and ontologies, data processing in research or on GitHub-Zenodo integration. You will also have the opportunity to take part in an interactive workshop that will provide you with an introduction to LIAScript. LIA Script is a Markdown-based tool, designed to create interactive Open Educational Resources. For active participation, we recommend that you bring a mobile device.
And this year, we are once again offering a consultation hour on the topic of research data management: “What actually is research data management?” “How do I keep my data comprehensible?” “Where can I store my data securely?” “What is metadata?” “What is the best way to archive research data?” “How can I publish my research data?” “What does a good file name look like?” ... Do you have these or other questions about research data management? Then simply drop by during consultation hours, all questions are welcome. The advisors from the Service Center Research Data of TU Dresden, SaxFDM and Come2Data as well as the TU Dresden Data Protection Officer are available to you for 1 hour during this open consultation session.
Afterwards, we will round off Love Data Week in a relaxed atmosphere with stimulating conversations, inspiring posters and coffee and cake.
