1. Identification and Promotion of ExcellenceThe focus is on identifying personal,
psychological, social and organizational conditions for
excellent performance (excellence), particularly in
business contexts. Specific topics are, for example,
theories of excellence, personnel selection, personnel
development and optimal team composition (i.e. with
respect to age, personality). The main goal is the
promotion of excellence understood as life-long
development of individual expertise and team
competencies in
organizations.
2. Work and HealthThe focus is on the influence of work (work content, work design, unemployment) on health in a broad sense, including also well-being and personal development. Specific topics are, for example, occupational safety, absenteeism, competence training for unemployed persons, stress at work, self-management and organizational health promotion programs (e.g., health circles, health score cards). Particular emphasis is placed on the training of competencies necessary for job analysis and job design (IO-internship).
3. Distributed Leadership in OrganizationsThe focus is on conditions and consequences of different forms of distributed leadership in organizations (i.e, participation, distributed team leadership, organisational democracy). Specific topics are, for example, theories of job motivation, methods of successful leadership at different levels (dyads, teams), efficiency of participative goal setting and organizational development. A primary goal is the promotion of decisional and functional autonomy at work that is used in a clever way. Please refer to our flyer as well
