Counselling services
Offers and contact persons for questions concerning gender equality and family friendliness can be found in the counselling map of the Diversity Management Office of the TU Dresden. Here you will find information on the counselling fields "Compatibility of work and family", "Career counselling", and "Conflict and psychological counselling".
Support programmes
The TU Dresden offers various funding programmes for young academics.
Flexible childcare
Since February 2016, TU Dresden has been offering flexible childcare in cooperation with the Mary Poppins Dresden agency to its employees and, on request, to participants of TU Dresden events. The flexible childcare includes the use of childcare hours for children aged three months to 12 years if required and includes a babysitting service, a drop-off and pick-up service and, on request, conference support.

Main tasks of the Equal Opportunities Officer
- Individual counselling interviews
- Member of the Faculty Council with the right to vote, speak and make motions and member of the Senate Commission "Equality and Diversity Management" with the right to speak and make motions.
- Advising the faculty management on the development and implementation of measures to ensure equal opportunities in research and on the development of family-friendly working and study conditions
- Recording the current status of equal opportunities in the faculty
- Influencing the texts of calls for applications and participating in appointment procedures with the right to speak and submit applications
- Opinion on funding applications, e.g. re-entry scholarships, Maria Reiche funding
