Wind- and Wave Measuring Station
Description
The Hubert Engels Laboratory operates a combined measuring station located on the northern shore of the lake Senftenberger See. The system measures wind and weather data in the Lusatia's lake region as well as recording wave heights. Data and features include i.a.:
- wind velocity, maximum wind speed, wind direction,
- wave height by pressure sensors,
- water temperature, air temperature, dew point,
- relative humidity,
- air pressure,
- automated data collection, transmission and persistance,
- querying data via a REST interface.
Wind and wave data are recorded and processed in one minute intervals. Wave heights are sampled in 10 Hz. New data is available via API every 15 minutes.
