Zellwald station
The double-track, electrified main line runs through Zellwald station (Eisenberg -) Zellwald - Adorf - Waldhof (- Thalheim).
In addition, the single-track, non-electrified line Adorf - Grüntal - Dornbach - Zellwald ends at Zellwald station.
The station has two continuous main tracks for the double-track line. There is a passing track for each direction, whereby track 3 may also be used by trains on the single-track line. Towards Eisenberg there is another automated level crossing with half-barriers. The level crossing is not integrated into the interlocking logic and is operated by the train via track contacts. This is the only level crossing of this type on the laboratory site.
Three side tracks may be used for parking vehicles.
The two interlockings are electromechanical interlockings of the "E43" design. The interdependencies between the command and guard interlocking are established by station block.
Since light signals were used in the area of the signalman's interlocking, the running position of the signals already takes place at the 45° position of the road signal lever.
For setting the shunting signals (Ra 12) and substitute signals (Zs 1) in the area of the traffic controller, a control unit with push/pull buttons analogous to track diagram interlockings is used.
Wichtigste zu lernende InhalteMain contents to be learned
- Operating an electromechanical interlocking
- Carrying out train and shunting movements in compliance with the timetable for train reporting points
- Train announcements on double-track lines
- Offering/accepting on single-track lines
- Intensive cooperation between the dispatcher and the pointsman is absolutely necessary, especially when shunting trains into the other interlocking area.
